William Bond. Canada's Forgotten Founding Father

When Canada was first being explored by British settlers, the Crown sent renowned hemp expert, William Bond. His mission was to find the best land and grow hemp in order to supply the British Navy.

The hemp that William Bond grew was Canada's first subsidized crop and has been growing wild ever since. Known as Ontara, Canada's wild hemp is a sustainable, organic, and low-cost source of CBD.

Unfortunately, two hundred years later, William Bond dose not receive the recognition he should today. All that remains of his legacy you can find just outside the Toronto in the Richmond Hill area.

We hope to give Bond the acknowledgement he deserves by introducing him back into Canadian history.
